I can't count how many times I have been at an event for an organization and wanted to donate, but was not able to. I wrestled with myself, trying to remember if I had any cash on me. When I realized my last dollar was at the Starbucks down the street, I instantly went into MacGyver mode, wondering where my old dusty checkbook was.
Then the moment of panic set in when the time to give came and I realized that I couldn't give. Not because I didn't want to or couldn't afford to. Without cash and a checkbook, it was impossible.
Like many people these days, most of my financial activity is on my credit or debit card. This is why I built Modern Giver. Giving should be simple and convenient - the way we all handle other financial transactions. My goal is to equip organizations with modern tools to help them maximize donations at their live events. If I can help even one organization, then it is all worth it.
